Lake Farmhouse dates back several hundred years. It is a lovely farmhouse built of cob and with lots of character, set in two acres and nestled in a hollow just north of Sheepwash down a private track.
Originally built as one dwelling, the house increased in size over time according to the wealth of various owners. Just fifty years ago it was inhabited as two seperate homes but it has now been converted back into a spacious family home.
There is a welcoming guest lounge with large comfy settees for guests to relax and unwind in and there is a large wood burning stove for those chilly evenings. To preserve the relaxing environment there is no television. There is a games chest full of games, jigsaw puzzles and cards. There are also books and magazines to read to while away any free time.
The house faces south west with views over the garden, which is surrounded by farmland and is enveloped in peace and quiet. Here you can relax, unwind, take time out from hectic schedules and make the most of everything that the house and surrounding areas have to offer.
Guests are welcome to use the patio area by the swimming pool to relax and enjoy the sun and wander around the garden, vegetable and fruit area, orchard, and fields. We have three pet Kune Kune pigs and traditional breed chickens all year round, and we raise lambs during the spring and summer months.
