National Cycle Network

Devon has two National Cycle Network (NCN) routes that are fully mapped and signposted. The Devon Coast to Coast and the West Country Way, which cross the county in a north to south direction and a west to east direction respectively. These two cycle routes meet at Sheepwash and head north past the end of the Lake Farm track that leads down to the farmhouse. You cannot cycle either of these two routes without passing by; so why not come and stay; and enjoy good home-cooked food, luxury bathrooms and spacious bedrooms.

National Cycle Network 3
West Country Way
Runs from Land's End in the west; through parts of Cornwall, Devon and Somerset; to Bristol in the east, covering 98 miles in Devon. It is a wonderfully varied route, which encompasses the uplands of Exmoor, as well as lush lowland river valleys, an 11-mile section of the Grand Western Canal, many beautiful Devon villages, and commanding views over Exmoor. Although some of the climbs are quite demanding, the amazing views from the top make them worthwhile.
Lake Farmhouse is approximately 35 miles from the Cornish border and 65 miles from Somerset on the West Country Way.

National Cycle Route 27
Devon Coast to Coast
Runs from Ilfracombe in the north, across 102 miles of Devon, to Plymouth in the south with most of the route being off-road. It often follows the relatively flat courses of former railway lines making it popular with families and those who are new to cycling. It is a scenic and varied route, taking in many beautiful woodland valleys, and quiet country lanes with superb views over Dartmoor. It also crosses several spectacular viaducts and bridges, particularly along the traffic-free Granite Way and Plym Valley Trail sections.
Lake Farmhouse is at the midway point of the Devon Coast to Coast and ideally situated for cyclists looking to do a two day cycle ride.
