Arrival
Rooms are available from 4pm on the day of arrival unless prior arrangements have been made. It would be appreciated if guests could give an estimated arrival time. Please let us know if you will be arriving after 6pm.
Departure
Rooms must be vacated by 10am on the morning of departure.
Reservations
Can be made via telephone, email or letter but these must be followed by payment of a deposit within 7 days to secure your reservation. Once we have received your deposit we will confirm your reservation.
Payment
A deposit of 50% is required to confirm your reservation. This can be made by cheque, bank transfer or credit/debit card. The balance is payable on your day of arrival by cheque or cash.
Cancellation
If you have to cancel your booking we will do our best to re-let the room. If we are unable to re-let your room we will retain your deposit.
Minimum stay of 2 nights
Bookings must be for a minimum of two nights.
Accessibility
Parking is in the courtyard in front of the farmhouse. The dining room and guest lounge are on the ground floor. All bedrooms and bathrooms are on the first floor so we are unable to accommodate guests who cannot manage stairs. Due to the age and nature of the house, different levels of steps and stairs, we feel that it is unsuitable for wheelchair users.
No smoking
For our guests comfort and safety Lake Farmhouse is no smoking throughout.
Children and pets
We regret that we do not accomodate children under 14 or pets.
Animal allergies and phobias
We have a friendly cat but he is not allowed in any of the guest bedrooms. We also have free range chickens, lambs and Kune Kune pigs in the fields around the garden.
